Hello everyone hope yall are doing good. I want to swap my speedometer mainly for cosmetic purposes. I have a 2000 tacoma 2.4l manual transmission 2wd. My tacoma has the digital odometer with the two gauges rpm and mph. Now for the new speedometer i want to swap with is the one with the mph gauge only. Most of the forums ive read about this do it the other way around but i perfer the single mph gauge. But the main reason is because i found some cool looking cluster faces. And the ones that i really like arent for the speedometer i have. I want these cluster faces so bad that i might swap the whole speedometer for it. Its gonna be kinda expensive. But i think it will be worth it. So i found a service on ebay that does reprograming for speedometers for $68 but they said it wont work because one is digital and the other is analog. But then im wondering how did it work for others on the forums here? What i have read is that as long as its the same engine, and year and drivetrain then it should be plug n play right? If you guys know anything about this please help me out, i really want these cluster faces. Thanks in advance

If one has analog miles/cable driven…..only can plug and play cluster with Tach with analog miles/cable driven

if digital miles on cluster will not work on old cable driven clusters

took me 6 months of searching, I finally found a tach cluster and was easy install!

    be aware….
taco friend found tach cluster on FB(I’m too old, not on FB)
Was at junk yard near me
I called and was there in 45mins and bought
Dude behind counter said 4 other people called about the same cluster!
