    First post to this forum. Rode the ferry then drove up the ALCAN last week in an '05 Tacoma that I bought in October. It did great!

    I hauled over 1600 lbs of stuff, to include passengers, all the way from Louisiana to Alaska without an issue. I installed air lift air helper springs in the back to keep it level and prevent bottoming out. I drove on duellers until Washington when I put on blizzaks for the drive north.

    You can still run this in Florida. I was in my previous stage without the bumper and glass when I was living in Florida. Talk about turning some heads.:D

    Yeah, we have colin and JohnW down here running some serious set ups. Just a little out of my budget, plus i'm only 2wd without a locker, would be pointless for me. But maybe one day in the future i will take the plunge on something more aggresive.:rolleyes:

    Im 2wd as well with Limited slip. But I run the shit out of her off road. Don't under estimate what you rig is capable of. I've only been stuck one time. I got buried in a sand dune. Soft sand is a MOFO. I know you dont have to worry about that. But you do have some awesome black mud.:D

    We have tons of soft "sugar sand" down here, we had a meet and i was on street tires with my old 20's, took it easy starting off on the sand, but you can almost feel when your truck gets on the top of the sand and takes off, that was crazy fun.

    I forgot all about the sugar sand. I haven't lived in Fl for a long time. I grew up in Miami and Broward County. I left Florida when I joined the Marines in 98.
