    So I need some opinions....

I recently had hail damage and will be replacing my hood soon. I have a TRD Off Road but really like the TRD Sport hood. What are your thoughts on putting a Sport hood on the Off Road?

    Yes.
I wasn't aware there was a difference. I thought all the 05-11 Hoods with scoops were the same. And all 12-15 hoods with scoops the same.

Both TRD Offroad and TRD Sport should have the scoop from their year.

Sport has scoop, Offroad not so much. I have an Offroad as well and I keep telling one of the other speedway blue ownwers that parks in the parking lot at work that one of these days he wont have a scoop anymore! I like the look of the scoop even if it serves no purpose.

The TRD Offroad does not have the hood scoop, that is one of the differences between the two models. The sport also has the color matched door handles, mirrors and rear bumper vs. the Offroad being black and a chrome bumper.

Not sure then....I'm going to go ahead and do the scooped hood then. It looks much better I think, may have to go ahead and change everything to match.

It was switched at some point then. TRD OR's have never come from the factory with a Skewp. Is it one of the stick on scoops or the actual scooped Hood?

So, you bought your 05' brand new 10 years ago from the dealer and are the original owner? But just joined the forum this year? Sounds suspect :spy:. On a side note... Your dog is badass!

I respectfully submit this screen shot of your first post. Posted this year (2015) it clearly states that you have owned the truck for five years. Now, I'm terrible at math, but it still doesn't add up. How old is the dog BTW?

It's just one of those common knowledge things among Tacomaheads. If you do a search you will find a ton of threads, not only on this forum but others, stating the differences in package options. Now, dealerships are known to make changes after receiving trucks from the factory, but they def charge a premium for doing so. As far as the vet goes.... Unfortunately, I'm just visiting TX and not from here. I had an amazing vet when I lived in KY but that's probably not worth the drive for you.:D.

Off road models never came with hood scoops. Now, what I'm thinking....if he bought it brand new from the dealer....someone may have slapped off road decals on a sport model. Does it have a rear locker? It's either someone put the scoop on an off road or someone put the off road decals on a sport model.
