    Thinking about swapping out these wheels (clear coat is chipping off)

    I took my FJ wheels and had them "remanufactured" by AWRS. They have franchise locations across the US. They dismount the tires, strip the old powder coating off, do minor repairs, apply new powder coat in your choice of color, remount and balance the wheels. I did mine 2 years ago and it cost me $600. I choose to go with black powder coat instead of the boring gray OEM color. I love the new look. It took an OEM wheel and made it look like an aftermarket wheel. And no one else has what I have.

    Well I bought a used blue grill but it needs some touch up paint and there are some stains on the gray insert that I was going to paint black:

    Then I thought, since I am getting the hood repainted, and the rest of the paint looks good, so I ordered this new grille instead:

    and now I will try to recover my $70, or close to it, locally on craigslist for the used one. Then I will install the new grille with my new faux Sport headlights that are sitting in the garage. I half azz mocked up what it should look like by next weekend.

    I think I took yours and photoshopped to my truck before I ordered it. Was only $12 more than the standard painted one. Very nice. Now to get that damn hood repainted.
