Yeah, 9 speakers... I got help. They all work in both rigs. 97 with the Infinities has the tweeters mounted in the front dash holes. Not ideal for 2017, but I played with the crossovers, a little extra boost on the fronts, turned up the sub, and it's really nice. Loud and clear. It's only an 8" sub, but that's enough for me.

 

I've got the full set for my 94, but they seemed intrusive once I positioned them. Never installed. Bring a screw cap drink in my truck.

 

I've owned three of the fj60's. Drove great, vacuum lines sucked. The fj80/fzj80 is next on my bucket list. Looking forward to your build. Keep the pics coming!

No, I already have one. Land cruisers are pretty hard to come by in Hawaii. Especially solid axle ones with radius arms.

 

Even on the mainland I don't see that many 60 or 80 series around. I think the high cost back in the 90s didn't help. The cost calculated for inflation puts them around 85K nowadays.

 

Which is about what a new landcruiser costs.
Atleast in the mainland, you can drive to a different state.

 

Very true, at least you got a decent amount for it back in the 90s. I'm sure today's are very nice too, but they kind of lost their heritage. Seems like they went from part time capable offroader / family vehicle to just luxury family vehicle.

Hawaii looks like it would be a pretty nice place to live, but I can imagine a good portion of stuff we take for granted here would be a real pain there. Shipping, vehicle availability, waste disposal, food. 40K for a 60 series though!!! They are awesome and all but damn that price is nutso.

I'm not on Mud.... I like to lurk there. Only on desktop where I can have full AdBlock running. They need to get their ad company to have better filtering. It makes my android get those stupid fullscreen virus alerts all the time. Usually only sketchy sites will do that, their ad provider is likely opening the flood gates to keep funding up during a low traffic time but it is unacceptable either way.
