Bilstein 6112 front / 5100 rear (extended) shocks, Headstrong AAL, Firestone airbags, 4.88 gears, OME Carrier bearing drop kit, Aluminum 1/4" skids (engine to transfer). Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Apex 5500 winch w/synthetic line (36lbs) and required accessories for an underpowered winch (snatch blocks and extra line.) Tekonsha P3 brake controller, remote start, any-time-backup camera w/ front facing camera, Leer 100R shell (w/e-track single slot tie-down mounts for removable Yakima EasyTop.) You can... just don't perform any maintenance on your Tacoma and it'll be just as capable of breaking down.

being able to ride up high in the Rubicon front seat and still have lots of head room is a big selling point for me. And the driver side grab handle...

You can fit 35s on the Gadiator way easier than on a Tacoma. If that's what you want, then the Tacoma isn't the right vehicle for you.

I thought it was rated for over 6k pounds but if it dont have a trans cooler it must only be 3500 pounds max tow.

yeah that sounds nice as well. Just don't know about replacing the trans and engine every 100k miles and all the water leaks from the roof and doors.
