Chrome has no business on an Off Road truck.

 

Haha! Im super anal about my trucks and try to keep it clean at all times. I noticed it shines more after i applied the ceramic coating, amazing stuff.

 

Speaking of getting rid of chrome, trying to find matte grey emblem covers to match the grey decals and sema rims.

 

I believe chrome is an outdated look from when people thought the future was gonna be all shiny with flying cars, which is why it looks good on classic vehicles, it fit the body style and mentality of the time. But now we’re living in that future, the plastic chrome is a subtle reminder of how quality in workmanship has generally gone down and that those optimistic dreams of the future were never realized.

Also the tacoma usually is not modified to become a flashy yeet yeet redneck street truck like full size GM vehicles are so the chrome looks even more out of place on the mid sized taco. Understated is seen as classier than shiny shit nowadays. That’s why matte black is preferred over chrome imo.

Some people may still like it, some think shiny plastic on a 3rd gen looks like shit. That being said im still not gonna go through the trouble of the BHLM.
