Actually, I heard scorpions eat spiders. Just dump a couple dozen scorpions in the cab. Problem solved.

MOVE AWAY! If you kill them, they will probably be back...and they're probably already inside :( I wouldn't get inside my truck if I found one of those things

Im no expert but I do remember having wolf spiders in my house in Delaware... Those things get to be the size of your fist!

But Im pretty sure that they dont spin webs. So I think it is safe to say they arent wolf spiders... Either way, pretty fucking creepy.

Wolf Spiders are ground predators & as said do make webs you describe.
The Brown Huntsman, as already suggested....or fishing spiders since you mentioned wetlands, they can climb vertically & tend to more than wolf....

now Spiders are pretty hearty & know how to hold their breath & go into a dormat state...bombing without air tightness or incendiary properties they might just come back.

    I vote sell the truck.....

When people are talking "burn the truck" it's time to call in an exterminator.

I tried to find one alive today to show you guys and couldn't find one. When preparing to bug bomb i found a smaller one under the hood dead. I'll post pics tomorrow.
yeah these guy definetly have webs. not symetric webs just random strung webs.

I couldn't find my tarp so i just ghetto rigged the seals of the hood with plastics bags.

What i've learned from all this is...if branches are hitting the truck, windows up

    btw snakes over spiders anyday

Good Luck! I had to bomb my Camaro and it didn't hurt anything. Probably not a good sign if you have mutlti-generations. Might just be a wood spider. Make sure it's not a Brown Recluse - has a white fiddle on it's back. Their bites are horrible and kill the skin. Thanks to this thread, I am going to have nightmares. I PROMISE you I am more skerred of spiders than 4x4. And snakes rule.

Spiders are sneaky. Here's a fun fact. You are never more than 6 feet away from a spider. Everyone has a spider somewhere in their truck - they just don't see them.

Not to make everyone else creeped out but i remember reading a study somewhere that an average person eats about 5 spiders a year. From what that study said the spider crawls down your throat while you sleep =/ Not really sure if its true but i thought it was kidna crazy lol. Sorry to creep out all you spider haters
