I had the same problem.. but I live in canada.. so I just waited for winter.

I would bug bomb the sh*t outta the truck for a night and drive around with the windows down for the next day or two, Also hose down the engine real good to flush out any nests.

    This is totally not true.

The myth comes from the fact that food packaging and processing plants are allowed a certain % of "foreign matter" in their product, by the FDA. And that is usually filled up with insects. Mind you that % is extremely small.

For example, the average jar of peanut butter contains 5 fly eggs.

None of this comes down to seeing an entire spider inside of your can of pop. That just doesn't happen.

The average person eats about 2-5 pounds of insects in their entire LIFE.

    Learned that on MANswers ;)

I had a tiny (and I do mean TINY) spider dangle down from my sun visor one day while I was driving. I nearly shit my pants.

Ended up getting the balls to squish it with a kleenex, and burnt the kleenex.

lol i hate all bugs fuck all of them especially spiders. i'm not sure about florida but in nj wolf spiders are quite common to see around here. the reason i could believe they are wolf spiders are the way they breed.

the mother carries the egg sack around with them instead of leaving it in a fixed location.
if one of these fell into his window like he said going down a tight trail a few weeks later and its there truck not yours. i can find one at any given time in my yard underneath the plastic rain gutter catch.

he is there everytime i cut the grass and its fucking huge like honestly mini tarantula huge plus they are nasty as shit they go right after you to bite if you try to shoe them away. most bugs just fly or run away as fast as they can not these little fuckers.

we have the recluse down here as well my wife has had at least 4 bites that where confirmed at her hospital btw its a rehab hospital! these people have hunks of flesh missing usually on hands arms legs and feet. one guy got it on the neck hence his visit with her speech pathologist.

they are supposed to be very rare here and keep to them selves but i hired orkin and had him lay down liquid death for all creepy crawlers once a month for the last 2 years lol

Actually the myth is the average person eats 8 spiders a year in their sleep. Don't see how that could be connected to the food industry, but w/e.

As for your spider infestation, I would use the harshest engine degreaser you can that won't harm anything in your engine compartment but the spiders. If you have a pressure washer this is even better. Get under the truck with it as much as possible, a drive through with an undercarriage wash would work too. roll the windows up, set the a/c vents to recirculate and put the bombs inside the truck, set em off and let them sit overnight. If they are coming from your property and not the trail then this is only a temporary solution as they will be back  Best bet to keep em out of your cab is to keep your windows up while parked, make sure the ac vents are closed and not allowing fresh air in, and make sure your door seals are in good condition.

Your only other option is this http://www.carcapsule.com/
