Had another to add, but cannot find a way to access the files in my computer. Has something changed since last time?

Thanx, wilcam. I missed the "upload a file" button. Guess old age is catching up with me.21reduced.jpg

Thanks for the comments. The focus on a couple of the feet is not great. I was experimenting with my wife's new D3500 and set it to auto for the picture. The camera projects a light to set the focus. That light upset the spider and it was proceeding to the top of the web. It normally sits with the head downhill in the late afternoon and night.

The most I can tell you is that it is a spider. When it sits with its legs extended, it is about 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" across. There are two of them hanging off the back of my house. There was one with a web off the door of my workshop last year.

I’m unfamiliar with that camera, Google tells me it’s a dash cam. Halogen low light to high light fade imitates a sun rising and you can get some great “natural” photos without disturbing the wildlife more than you have (other than a grumpy spider). You’d need lights and the like, but you got a great shot off the bat.

Looks a bit like an orb Weaver to me. Great shot! How close were you to the spider? It's nice and sharp.

About 4 or 5 feet, with a 70 to 300 zoom lens. Not sure what length I had it set to.

Went out yesterday evening while there was still enough light for the autofocus.

That dude was epic and the way he went about exploring and making easy for kids to catch interest into what's really going on this world. As far as nature!
