I saw it..it was happening...she was starting to molt! :D

Then I took off for about an hour only to come back and find this

Then I remembered, she was pretty big already at about 5 1/4" since she had molted once since I had her

Well shit, I got the molt out and it measured almost 6 1/2"

Your molts are always so well-preserved. Are you pulling them before the T has a chance to gnaw on them?

The smaller molt I found intact the next day; she didn't mess with it at all through the night.

The latest one I pulled from the other end of her tunnel as she was near her water dish outside of her hiding spot.

Unfortunately, the leg broke on the smaller one since the molt is dry as hell but the recent one is still flexible.

    @boogie3478

Have you been able to retrieve any of your Goliath's molts?

I've been lucky with my OBT as well since I'd find the molt on some webbing, on the other end of its enclosure opposite of where it normally hides.

Yeah I have the last Goliath molt but it's sort of folded legs up ... and I don't feel like touching it because of those nasty hairs. :D

    Lol don't blame you.

I'd soak it lightly so it doesn't fall apart on ya, and just use the ends of your paint brush paired with your tongs to spread it open.

It's what I did with last nights molt considering the legs were originally folded in and upwards.

    T. blondi nearly gave me a heart attack when it grabbed and bit my watering straw. It had removed its fangs from the straw in the first pic but I waited for it to move away before removing the straw.

    Badass

On a side note, I need to find a shallow enclosure similar to that...but with some length.

Penelope creeped out of her crawl space and she has no room!

With her legs bent upwards, she still measured over 7"...

I'll have to buy it sight unseen; our hobby lobby has been closed for awhile due to this whole pandemic.

Hopefully I can find one of those larger critter keepers or similar.

Penelope may in fact be a Peter o_O

Picture is intentionally blurry because I focused in on the important part here; looks like bulbous pedipalps...

He moved before I can get a pic from his underside but look at the joint on the front legs; I'd assume that's where the tibial hooks are
