Ahh plenty of time to enjoy it then! Lol that species can live for 30 years if you have a female.

They leave guts everywhere when you smash them :burp:

My very first post here was of a camel spider I killed.

The tarantula subreddit might be a good option. I grabbed a T off of there from someone local.

That's a forced perspective shot. Camel spiders aren't small but they aren't huge either.

Not much to post really, but I'm down to one T and it's Lady Gaga.

Was nice to see her progress over the time I've had her. I'll refer to it as 'it' because I can't sex it yet...

Here it is, all dark and ugly looking -

Here at this point, it's molted a few times and the lignter grays are coming in -

Here it's a little bigger, but the contrast is still subtle -

The infamous threat pose, must've learned that shit from Mini Me -

After another molt, the contrast is even greater but the legs are still lacking color -

And it's most recent molt; beautiful vibrant blues are starting to show (posted once before, recently) -

Can't wait to see it molt just a few more times.

Shit, hopefully you get a good molt to keep after it's done!

Lady Gaga just molted a few days ago herself -

I won't keep one of the molts from this species just because the hairs are the most irritating of any T species. I've got a great molt from my rosehair T though. :bananadance:

Well this molting was bitter sweet since I later saw that the spider molted into a mature male ... so probably a year or less until it dies.

Not yet but I'll get some tomorrow when I pop the lid to the enclosure.

Another horrible pic through the enclosure wall, but if his back legs were fully extended he'd easily be 9" from front to back.

    Just grab his molt.

Do it by hand otherwise your tongs can damage the brittle molt :burp:

Tonight was feeding night, and for the first time in a long time, all 3 of my ts ate. Only decent pic is of haze. She had 3 baby hissers. My scorpion has been hiding in his burrow. Unable to confirm if he ate or not. My 4+" t.albo is so timid she feeds on the same size feeders as my 2ish inch juvies 20211126_185037.jpg
