The species is blatta lateralis and they are often called "red runners." Josh's Frogs website and Amazon page often sell starter colonies for some good prices.

Quite a list...damn...I'd have to look each one up but that'd be an amazing collection all on its own.

 

They certainly have their pricing at tempting rates!! But after losing the Golden Blue Leg sling, I really am ont confident on one so small. You've got the know-how and experience, so I'm sure any sling in your care would turn out to live and grow to be monster sized!!

There are some beauties in there for sure.

 

Slings do take an extra degree of patience and care with more monitoring ... but soooo satisfying watching them grow.

Was looking up each one you listed, and I watched a whole 2-3 videos on the third one...

 

The asian species have the worst (or best?) reputation for being lighting bolts.

 

Yeah, I'll stick with terrestrials for the meanwhile

 

On a side note that website sure jacked up their pricing for the larger or advanced only mystery boxes. They used to all be very inexpensive. I'll stick with the standard small regular mystery box as you will get 3 slings which can literally include anything. It's really fun NOT KNOWING what's on the way.

Were your T's already sexed? Or do you have to wait until a few molts?

 

The Gooty I got from Blackwater and asked for female, I am not positive since they say they try their best.
The others I sourced from the same guy from San Diego, he doesn’t sex the cuz then he wouldn’t be able to sell males.

 

Can't tell from looking at the underside like you can with humans. I'd guess a female though since the males tend to have much longer legs and smaller bodies.
