Tire shop took it upon themselves to destroy my wheel spacers. Idiots.

3 out of 4 spacers were hammered off the hubs and dented quite badly. I am going to attempt to file them down as per Spidertrax's recommendation.

Personally I wouldn't run them, that's asking for it. If the spacers are at all warped or have been internally stressed (I would say yes to that) you're risking a failure.

I'd get the shop to shell out for some new ones.

    Build thread in sig...
the shop needs to buy you new ones. a rubber mallet or shot filled dead blow wouldn't have done that. i know because i've had to hammer mine off before. that is the result of a steel sledge.

for future refference, easy way to get them off is to take off the lug nuts holding them on and re-bolt up the wheel and tire to them. then give the tire a few good kicks or wacks, and they usually come off.

    good luck with the shop.

Yea, I'm pissed. They won't be getting any business from my family or friends anymore. Took them off because I got new wheels that didn't need spacers anymore.

The only reason I didn't take them off myself is because I wanted to bring the whole truck in for an alignment at the same time as the wheel swap.

I went back to complain and they wouldn't do shit about it.
