I'm sure this is a common thread but please keep reading and hear me out... I have looked and cannot find an answer to my particular issue.

I have a 17' Pro, 36k miles, stock suspension. I installed a set of Spidertrax 1.25in spacers with the factory wheels and developed a wobble in the steering wheel between 40-55mph and the truck now pulls to the left; however, at hwy speeds it is smooth. I had the tires balanced and it was still there. I took the factory wheels off and put on a set of lug centric wheels and bigger M/T tires, still a wobble but now a little more obvious, still pulling left. I took the spacers off, cleaned the hubs and re-installed exactly per the spec in the instructions. Still a wobble... I took the truck to the tire shop and even had them re-install the spacers, re-balance the tires, and re-align the truck. Still a wobble and pulling... Next I returned those spacers and bought another brand new set and installed exactly to the Spidertrax specs. Guess what... still the same wobble and the same pulling.

So here I am. 2 sets of spacers, 2 sets of wheels and tires, and multiple re-installs later and I still have the same exact wobble and pulling to the left. I'm not sure if the pulling left is related to the wobble, but they do happen around the same speeds, either way the wobble is driving me insane. I was told to check if it still does this in 4WD and its the same story there.

What is going on with my truck? I have two friends running these spacers with zero issues and there are numerous people online having no issues.

So with the spacers off neither sets of wheels have any wobble?

I had no issues with the factory wheels without the spacers. I can't run the aftermarket wheels without spacers as they do not clear the caliper. I'm thinking there was always something worn/messed up, but moving the tires out further with the spacers has caused the issue to show its face. I just don't know what that issue may be...

what aftermarket wheels do you run? My guess is since spidertrax are hub centric, the aftermarket wheels may be lug-centric and you could have a small issue with the mounting, which would produce the wobble at a specific speed range. See if you can check whether the wheels are hub or lug centric, and get adapters if needed for the hub ring.

Are you still running stock wheel tire combo with the spacers?

They are just steel O/R wheels from Summit. Spacers are hubcentric, the aftermarket wheels are lugcentric. I see what you are getting at but it does the same thing with the hubcentric factory wheels.

And you did re-alignment with the new wheel setup and spacers?

Spacers are poorly engineered items, you can't expect perfection when you have a slab of metal pushing a rotating mass outwards.

Toyo MT's never balance perfectly either, you can't expect a OEM drive from them, they are like lego bricks sticking out.

If you still have your stock wheels/tires I'd throw them back on and take it to the dealer and at least even if they can't duplicate the symptoms you can get it on record as having brought it in for the issue.

I don't expect the Toyos to be perfect, but I've ran them on 3 other trucks and never had this issue, and its the same issue on the factory tires. I don't expect perfection from spacers, but I would expect 2 sets to not act the same, especially when others have zero issues.

Do this with spacers on or off? I have a warranty but I don't know if Toyota will try to void it if the truck has spacers.

Why the hell would this be warranty? It's a spacer issue. They don't care if it wobbles, you'd be lucky if they even write a work order up.

Because its an issue that the spacers make worse by widening the track. There is obviously something going on outside of the spacers, but the spacers magnify the issue.

Wouldn't normally be covered by warranty. Warranty would only apply to factory wheels without spacers, which you have stated didn't wobble.

It's not an issue about 'getting panties in a wad' as stated. You've gotten an alignment, rebalanced and all you can for factory parts, and it's good, until you put spacers on. It's an issue with the spacers.

The main question should be, why spacers? If it's only so you can run aftermarket wheels, maybe you should see about selling the wheels and spending a bit more on correct wheels that clear the calipers. The spacers the common denominator with the wobble.

Yes but 1000s of people run spacers with no issues. It cant be JUST the spacer. It has to be something existing that is magnified by the spacer since the wheels are further out. I like the way it looks and I like running cheaper steel wheels that I can beat on off-road and not care about. So why would I just give up trying to fix the issue and settle for something I don't want?

So let me ask this. If I said I have a wobble from 40-55mph and have done all this re-balance and alignment but didn't mention I had spacers, what would some possible causes be?
