To be clear, the wobble and/or pulling left is STILL apparent with:

    No spacers Installed
    Oem wheels and tires mounted

If so, were there before doing any thing?

I would put everything back to stock and take it to the dealer. No guarantee, but they might find something

Not matter what anyone says, spacers are not the ideal or optimal way to do things if you want to do it right. It’s physics. Introduce two parts instead of one (just the wheel) and problems will arise.

Why people want to run a wider stance is beyond me...doesn’t help with anything except kill components faster and destroy your paint...unless you are adding aftermarket fenders too

and out of those 1000's, a few are going to be bad. That's simple statistics. See if they have a return policy and try new ones.

The truck drove fine from the factory.

The truck WITH spacers, with either factory or aftermarket wheel, has a wobble.

Seems pretty clear what the cause is.

Also for what it's worth, decent hub centric wheels start out barely $20-40 over steelies. You say you want cheap wheels to 'beat', but you bought a Pro... spend the little extra cash for correct hub centric wheels with enough backspacing to clear the calibers without spacers. End of the day, the spacers are the common problem in your wobble. Don't cheap out on a vital component to the top-of-the-line model truck.

    Good luck.

I guess you missed the entire part where I already returned one set and ordered another. It's not an issue caused by the spacers, its an existing issue magnified by the spacers. I get it, you don't like spacers. However, your personal opinion doesn't fix anything or help in anyway. If you don't have anything to say other than "take your spacers off" then don't even comment. I didn't ask if I should take them off, I asked what issues could be existing that would've shown up with spacers.

I’ve got Spidertrax. 1.25” and factory OR wheels. No issues. Torqued and loctite per Spidertrax instructions. Perhaps find another alignment shop? That’s the only thing I can think of. Unless you’ve abused the truck and some suspension components are out of whack.

I have not abused it but it is very possible the previous owner did. Just from crawling under and looking I don't see anything out of place, but I have yet to get it on the lift and really inspect everything.

I guess you missed the part where I actually tried to help and contribute more than ‘tAkE tHe SpAcErS OfF’

I'm surprised you were able to even get a shop to align the truck with the spacers on, most places out here won't touch a vehicle with wheel spacers unless you take them off first.

I had the same issue in my truck slight wobble in the steering wheel at 40-55 mph then would go away at higher speed running spacers as well...brake pedal was smooth no pulsating at all...ended being one of my front brake rotors was warped with less than 20k miles. Changed the two front rotors no issues after that.

Its a mom and pop shop of which the owner is a friend. They even removed and re-installed the spacers just to double check everything.

Interesting, I will look into that too. Thank you

I just learned and corrected a lesson this weekend. I have BORA 1" spacers on the front with Spidertrak 1.25" on the rear. I love them. So I had wobble and crummy steering with some Nexen Rodian AT Pro RA8 tires. We had been running the same tire on another truck without issue. But on the Tacoma it felt like I was driving an F150 with Twin I Beam suspension and a drag link. Also I am running ProComp Series 52 DS steel wheels from Summit. I had to run spacers to keep the wheels from rubbing the caliper. So I couldn't stand the F150 type drive and the tires felt out of balance. So I said enough and went to Discount Tire and bought new Michelin Defender LTX M+S to replace the new Nexens. The Michelin are a smaller OD and a bit wider than the pizza cutter Nexens. So I had the Nexens balanced three times to try to remedy the problem. The last balance was a road force and that was the best. But it still wasn't right. So when installing the $1,000 a set Michelin Defenders the installer noticed a warped wheel. That wheel was on the rear. I called Summit and there are Rush shipping a new wheel to me. The new tires make it drive more like a sports car than a truck. The warped wheel on the left rear send vibrations through the drive line and body and since it doesn't roll correctly causes a slight pull to the left. When I get the replacement wheel I expect it to drive perfectly. It's a real bad deal that nobody caught the warped wheel when it was installed. So I've learned that cheap wheels and tires when combined can make for bad handling and driving. As a side note, I did sell the Nexens to someone who intends to run them on a trailer. That's a good place for them. I will give the cheap wheels another shot. But if I experience problems, they will be gone.

I don’t understand why warped rotors would cause a wobble and the pulling. I am assuming the OP wasn’t braking and experienced these symptoms.

Those cheap stamped steel wheels are notorious for balancing issues. Not exactly a precision made item.

I’m not sure if I didn’t read this part or not but why not take the spacers off to see if there is any vibrations now at the speed in the stock form. ( yes I read the truck was fine before). This would eliminate and help figure out the cause.

I personally know a few guys who ran and I have ran spidertrax on my old Jeep. I put them on to the specifications and in 20k miles before trading it in for my Tacoma I had 0 issues. Doesn’t mean there could be a bad batch but spidertrax and highly regarded. I will be putting a set on my 17 OR but keeping the stock wheel. Wish you luck

Took everything back apart and added some metal hub rings, still the same wobble and pulling. I was doing some research and came across a thread about a TSB for the steering dampener. Has anyone else seen this?
