I was not looking for anyone's input on if I should get spidertrax spacers or not just bringing a topic up that never had any supporting evdience behind it and I can see it still does not. I have already when with the ones my buddy made.

T6-6061 same as what spidertrax uses. Same as 95% of all the spacers sold( including ebay spacers) are made of. Im sure most people do not have access to a cnc machine. My argument is this, I dont like paying extra money for a name when I can get the exact same product for less.

You never had any intention of buying from Spidertrax, so why create another thread about it? Were you bored? Do you think you could provide a different viewpoint just by repeatedly asking "where's the proof?" Every other topic centered around Spidertrax asks the same questions and it always comes down to people trusting their reputation. Other brands have been found to have fairly major problems. Trail Gear spacers have known vibration issues and All Pro spacers have failed on numerous vehicles.

Reputation means a lot when it's holding your wheels on.

You can get spidertrax spacers all around for what $200, spend the exra $200 and get some rims is what I say, every tire shop I went to said to stay away from spacers. I dont care who makes them they all have the potential to fail. I am sure there has been threads about spidertrax spacers failing before.

And if mine fail I will be the first to admit I should have went with spidertrax but I just dont see it happening. You dont have to be a rocket sicentist to make wheel spacers. I kept asking wheres the proof because you guys just kept popping off at the mouth about how much better they were but thats all you could say. If there would have been something saying that spidertrax are better than the rest in black and white then I definitely would have bought them but the fact stands that there isnt. My question has been answered, when you buy spidertrax your paying for the name case closed.

nobody said they were better, everyone was just saying they would rather pay for for a product that has a good reputation

let me ask you a question, youre at the tv shop, looking to buy a new lcd tv...you look at a sony thats 1900$ 1080p hdmi hook-ups and all the other fancy shit, now you turn around and see XXXX brand for 1400$ all the same specs, which do you go with? i know i would go for sony just because i know sony's reputation and have owned a sony before and know its a damn good tv

its not all about what materials are used to make something, yea, aluminum, plastic, steel, glass are made to use just about every vehicle..but why did you buy a tacoma? its all the same right?

Silverback and others will vouch that I will romp my truck as hard as anybody.

And I don't need a transfer case to justify the bulge in my pants.

Every component on our trucks has the potential to fail.

I hear you, and I followed this reasoning for 4 of my previous builds and about 15 years of wheeling... BUT with the stoutness and hub centric design of these made for the Tacoma, plus the fact that it's a light truck and I'm running 32" tires I feel that the added risk is negligible. Quite a few members on this forum, including me, run them and I haven't seen one negative report yet.

Also, I've been to a handful of off-road shops, tire shops, alignment shops, etc and I ask them "do you have a problem with my wheel spacers" and they usually look at me funny and say "not at all". I think 'Discount tire' is the only place that won't work with them.

Personally I'd never run 'lug centric' wheel spacers, but the hub centric should never have any problems as long as it is correctly torqued/installed IMO.

Plus I like my TRD wheels.

thats the most rediculous comparison Ive ever heard! Do you know how many things can go wrong with a TV? think about it. Theres only maybe a few things that can go wrong with alu spacers, lugs break, alu spacer breaks( highly doubtful) ........ and thats about it. I understand what your trying to say but alu spacers comparing them to lcd tv's? come on

no 4WD? thats what I thought. If you were trying to justify the bulge in your pants you probably would have got a F250

All-Pro spacers have failed on numerous vehicles, really? I'd like to know about this because we have less than a 1% return rate on our spacers, almost always due to installation error, and we sell over a thousand a month! PM with details please.
