My daughter recently spilled a slushy into and around the front seat and center console. The drivers seat belt is just completely gunked up now. Have to fool with it to get my belt to latch. Now my airbag light is on and I am99% sure its related. Can someone confirm with me that there is a sensor in the DRIVER's seatbelt latch that is part of the airbag restraint system.

there is a sensor in it but i would think if when you plug it in if the seat belt light goes off then it is still working. but thats all i got. good luck with it.

I am hoping the cause of the aribag light is the sticky seat belt latch cuz that should be an easy fix, just take it out clean it out and reinstall. But if there is no sensor in the latch, then i am wasting my time. Thx Red!

i had a faulty sensor in my civic. It was located in the buckle itself.
