Here is a video at outlining exactly what I’m dealing with.

    https://youtu.be/8qPj8X8UFBM

Installed new strut assembly. Trying to align the spindle with the upper control arm to tighten everything back together. Spindle no longer snapped back or rotates backwards towards upper control arm. It used to. I used to be able to maneuver the spindle around and it would align with the ball joint of the upper control arm but it no longer aligns. Can rotate spindle front to back but not backwards towards the engine.

Pull the UCA down, and check to see if the cv axle came apart internally in the middle - usually just requires a little wiggling and finessing to pop back in place - common if you just let the lca dangle too far down without affixing it from moving.

    EDIT:
    This was the fix.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
I agree with this perspective as well. The inner tripod rollers will drop out of the tulip and need to be set back in as well sometimes when it is left hanging.

Np. I'm used to it from lowering an excessive amount of FWD cars. Once it pops back in you should be good to go.

CV joint came apart far enough that it binds or further to where the spider pops out. Get all that lined up again and you'll be golden. Prob pulled the spindle out further than you needed to for clearance to get the shock and spring in. Common problem.
