Spirolox Removal

    3 in. Icon coil over lift
    I pulled the front ICON shocks to replace the lower bearings. All was well until I got the shock on my bench and the Spirolox are corroded and fused. Any tips or removing these suckers?

    The replacement kit came with circlips. Apparently, there has been a design change. I think I see why:mad:

    That was fun! Filled a couple glass salsa jars with penetrating fluid. Soaked the lower bearing ends over night. Still took a lot of hammering and .

    On a positive note, the offsetting spacers on the passenger were toast as well. I called ORW, but they don't stock the spacers since they rarely need to be replaced. So I called ICON, explained the situation, and he sent me new spacers for both sides - No Charge. Of course, I have to wait 4ish days for shipping from California. But, excellent customer service from ICON!!
