I read somewhere that the one (1) supplied USB port in the dash can be split. I would like to know if anyone has attempted to do this behind the dash so you don't have a splitter dangling from the one port (visible for all to see). If it can, then you can run a USB extension to the center console.

Me too! I'd like to add a USB inside the center console where the Acc plug is now. Would be nice not to have a cord hanging out of the dash.

Use this in the power socket in the console.

It won't interface with the head unit but it will charge your device.

Perhaps a cable like this, and then run the splitter?

Yes, if you have the OEM Entune, not aftermarket.

Or, you pull off the metal shield on the USB cable, and plug directly into the existing OEM USB/AUX dash port:

Try the Y splitter at the dash first to see if its even doable? If it is, then I'd pop it behind the dash, put the splitter behind the dash and use something like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072LZRB1D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to put in the glove box and then the other side for your console. Use the open space in the dash for a different button all together.
