Good on you, but you are doing it backwards.
I have a few friends who are content creators on YouTube. One has 1.3M subscribers and one has over two million. Both are woodworkers. When they started several years ago, they had no sponsors. They are both heavily sponsored now but they had to get several hundred thousand subscribers on their own before the sponsors started calling. Good luck.
BTW they are both very good woodworkers but that is not what brings in subscribers. They are also very outgoing and enjoy entertaining people, which is the true skill needed to be a successful content creator.

Nobody is going to look at a box truck and wonder what's in it. If I saw a Tacoma going down the road with a bed rack and aluminum rain gutters bolted to it. I'm goingto notice that and think those are some nice gutters, and that guy is on to something.

You’ll need a pretty large following to even be considered and even then it’s just a small discount. Start with 10k and go from there

Oh ok. So I guess I’ll keep working on getting some followers. It will take awhile. So I guess my build will be on hold for years. Lol

all kidding aside, I do appreciate the enthusiasm,,, it can be done, just late to the game, others figured this out years ago and had a following of millions, before we even figured out how it works.

And now for my genuine two cents -

I personally don't find Tacoma build channels to be the least bit interesting. I build my truck for my needs. I will admire and talk to people if I catch theirs in the parking lot, but I really don't give enough shits to watch someone bolt a bunch of overpriced, overweight, pre-drilled store bought crap onto their trucks. I know how to do that already, and I can bolt on store bought bullshit better than most people here.

If I'm watching the boob tube it's to watch the true creatives - people who fabricate something amazing with just raw materials and their hands. And even then, I only will watch one or two and then go out and try it on my own. But to make a Tacoma channel interesting... good luck, that's a hell of a hill to climb.
