Well I got my low range trail gear order and I’m terribly disappointed.

Here’s a few photos of the damage. Shipping box appears intact and it was well packaged.

    This seal is fucked.

Mounting surfaced marred and needs to be smoothed.

Entire unit had been dropped and adapter is damaged. And a chunk is missing.

Also found a loose bolt on the assembly. Which robs me of any confidence I had in this product.

Called marlin crawler to place an order for one of their assemblies, but they’ve been waiting months already, and with new trump tarriffs causing steel availability to be greatly reduced, they are months out too.

Why’d you go with a crawl box over just regearing the axles since you’ve got an automatic

Do you have any idea what duals tcases gives you for crawling abilities?! Absolutely no comparison to changing axle gears.

Is it normal for it to come all assembled? I assumed it would be in 3 pieces.

So my regear is awesome. Add a crawl box and it would be on point.

So what about an Atlas? I really dont know much about them. @cbechtold

I do have an idea since I have dual cases. Just curious since your an auto so you don’t need the gearing as much as a manual trans.

Regear is awesome. However it changes your crawl ratio from 26:1 to 31:1.

4.7 Crawl box changes it from 26:1 to 123:1. And multiple possible gears

Surprised you had such bad luck with them. I ordered dual cases and their prerunner adapter through low range and everything came wrapped in plastic with spray foam around it. If you bought it through low range they'll correct it. Just give them a call. I've ordered tons of stuff from them and have always been good to me.

Atlas vs. Dual cases. Atlas all day. Sealed unit. Bigger stronger gears. Would love one in 4.3:1 if 5.0:1. I find the 4.7 in my main case is perfect.

Did you get all the adapters separate? Or was it all assembled as a unit like twine?

I went ahead with the install as far as I can go. I need to get a new seal. Hopefully can find one tomorrow locally. I put the cases together. Seems to spin smoothly as a unit. I hope all is well. It was difficult to slide them together. The splines were very tight.

Dual cases came complete. Prerunner adapter was a matter of removing the tail housing and slappingnsome rtv and a coupler on and bolting it. I've never had an issue with the actual cases. Prerunner adapter I'd another story...

Call advance adapters and they'll get you setup. Itll be more than a crawl box but equal to buying built duals. Main thing is it's a lot stronger and ni chance for the transmission to leak fluid into the tcase. When I talked to them a 2 speed would be about 3k. 4 speed 4k. That's with shifters and the adapter. They said a 4 speed can use regular shifters 2 speed would need cable shifters. With an auto I plan on getting the 2 speed and I'll swap an aw4 from a Cherokee (same transmission as the a340) and then get a small spacer and the atlas will bolt right up as well as a Dana 300
