The bad news is, my heater fan doesn’t work, no signals or 4ways, and all my cluster lights quit (no indicators lights such as CEL, oil pressure, cruise control). So I don’t know what’s up there. I removed the rs3200 alarm it had in there. So something might be unhooked now.

going wheeling tomorrow and I’d like a heater

My craw ratio before was 160:1, not its 220:1. But before the torque converter really added some reduction too. But I like that it’s direct drive now. No torque converter to stall

For those curious about the manual transmission swap, here’s some info.

OEM parts used from a 2003(same year)
    r150f transmission
    Clutch pedal assembly
    hard and soft clutch lines
    Master cylinder
    Slave cylinder

I did NOT change the engine harness
I did NOT change the ecm

For a clutch I used an exedy OE replacement, for a flywheel I got a new one from Napa.

Trim the trans tunnel where the trans shifter comes through (auto tunnel is different). very easy to do.

Drill hole in firewall for master cylinder

Trim the brake pedal and put the small pad on it.

R150f transmission is about 1 inch shorter to my shafts still fit.

I had to make a new transmission mount as the mount is also an inch forward.

    Wiring-
Cut auto trans plugs off the harness underneath

connect the two big pins of the park neutral switch.

Truck starts, runs, bangs off the limiter.

this job can be done alone. I did all of those by myself.

Auto trans with duals attached removed
    [IMG]

Time to remove the flex plate and replace it with the flywheel and clutch. Don’t forget your pilot bearing.

time to put in the transmission.

I then split the cases from the auto, and put them up individually since they’re heavy as an assembled unit.

these shifter positions actually work pretty well. Going to try to keep this.

5 speed is nice! I like it. 220:1 is a nice upgrade

A few question about the 5 speed swap.
    - Did you leave the stock starter? for some reason I thought the auto and manual starter where different.
    - Any check engine lights since your using the auto ecu?
    - And did you wire in the clutch cancel switch with the 5 speed?

Auto starter worked for me and my cel was on before the swap so I removed the bulb;) only thing I did different was my clutch release is wired so it tells ecu it’s in drive!

Did you wire that to the auto ecu or swapped it for a manual ecu?

Auto ecu and harness, the plug has numbers by the pinouts! I wired neutral to clutch in/depress then released its hitting switch for drive function, eazypeezy lol

Remove auto trans cooler, took the winch apart, put a straight drum on it, and regereased it.

Didn’t look too bad really. But the grease I used before was very thick. Made it tough to freewheel.
