Correct...Not the exact truck I wanted but I didn't have the time to wait for the exact spec I wanted to be allocated at a somewhat local dealership. I was down to one family vehicle. The only thing I wasn't settling on was 4WD. Sticker was 44K, I paid 37K (I am a Toyota employee :)). That was another sticking point in my search...some dealers were not honoring my employee discount due to inventory.

I do appreciate all the good and negative comments. It's what I expected. I doubt this forum wouldn't exist if all our tacomas were exactly the same. So far after 200 miles, I like my truck a lot.

Not in my zip code. I'm thinking this is another Gulf States Toyota thing like their "TSS Package" that people mix up with Toyota Safety Sense.

I have a question on that bar. Is it drilled into the bed? The TRD Pro I'm looking at has it listed and I don't want holes drilled in my truck.

Hell yea, same thing with my 4x4sport, got it at the price point of an SR5 with my public safety discount.

It was not drilled in. It had 4 bolts attaching it to the inner railing system. I removed it in about 10 mins. I only had it on for 5 days and I have to admit, it almost pained me a little to remove it because it certainly is more unique to the other tacomas around. But, my bed cover should be coming in today.
