the stupidity that gets me in the 3rd Gen forum is it's ALWAYS been
non-functional on the Tacos, the trolls act like this is something Toyota just
    did for the new model.

Yeah we are a special breed who can live underwater for 70 days at a clip in a cigar tube chasing (or running from) enemy Subs (or unsuspecting fishing trawlers for practice....... as well as learning what every valve ,switch, or controls are just to qualify.....in less than nine months, I would do it again.......

I like mine. Of course I wish it was functional, like the 'intakes' on the inside edge of the headlines, but whatevs. Some people don't like them, but I guess it's a good thing it's my truck payment and not their's, eh?

Both the 04 and the 16 have tupperware, it's a thing for me and they work quite well for offroading... no scratches at all and a little 303 protectant keeps them nice and black.

Wheels are the TRD Pros, 17 X 7, debating on sticking the 16 stock wheels on the 04 eventually.

I agree if you are an avid offroader. No paint scratches. But it used to be a PITA when they fade. Jeep is the same thing. Until new cool products came out to put life back into them. For me fake scoop and painted fenders. My previous post was just a jab...leave my scoop alone and I wont bag on your black fenders. BTW, jsinnard thats a great pic with the old and new trucks!

It will overwhelm your your 4 banger the extra wind resistance would be like you had a 3 banger.

Agree... cept they aren't "fake" boobs, just enhanced. I mean, before the surgery the woman had boobs. Maybe small boobs or even tiny boobs. But even mosquito bite boobs are still boobs. So therefore I submit they are not "fake" boobs

    Just sayin.... LOL

And now that that's settled... it's NOT a fake bulge. a "fake" bulge would be a bulge that appeared to be a bulge but in fact was not a bulge. There really is a bulge so it's a real bulge. Now, is it a functional bulge? Well... from a engine performance standpoint, no. However, in terms of appearance it's function is clear and since it's a well known fact it looks a million times better than a hood without a bulge (real, not fake bulge).

HAHA this is true. It's not like they are enhancing a small scoop that works, it's just completely useless and taped on. The fake scoop is more like putting boobs on a guy.

That being said I like the scoop, and if I wanted to blow another 6 grand would have got a sport over an OR

Vs a 2.7 SR5. What I meant was, if I wanted to spend the extra money and get either a sport or off road double cab, I would have went with the sport.
