I have a TRD off road and the signal mirrors worked. But first I popped the door panel off to verify - it's a 3 minute job to take it off. If you have 5 wires at the plug you're good to go

Mine is a 2015. No clue about other years - hence my advice to pop off the door panel and check.

Ok so I popped the door panel off and here is what I'm looking at. The blacktape cluster is what's running from my side mirror. Looks like 3 wires (red, white, light brown) are running into the white connection which has 5 wires running down from it. So should I be able to plug one of the 5-wire turn signal mirrors into this and have it work properly?? Thanks for any help. @TaterHarry

I'm wondering if you could pull the 5-pin(wire) assembly off of a newer Tacoma to make it work.

Could be a function of trim level, model year (not just 05-11) or mid-year bean counter changes. The TuRDs may have a different harness from the base models. I don't know when the Sports started getting signal mirrors.

If I encountered this I would probably just tap the harness and run new wiring - and go full-bore with the heated mirrors and puddle lights while I was at it.

3 from the mirror, or 3 below the plug?

I just installed Sport mirrors in my 2014. It has 5 wires running up to the harness. The power mirrors work, but the turn signals are a no go.

Any idea why these aren't working?

I put a voltmeter on the pins at the harness and there seems to be no juice at the harness despite it being prewired for it. Been searching for a bit on TW but coming up blank...

I almost bought some sport mirrors to do this mod but saw you and another member had this issue in another thread. If you ever get it resolved let me know!
