    No, it’s true.

It’s just that every girl who is attracted to the skewp also smokes Marlboro 100s. Ugh as soon as you let them in these ones start looking for a tape deck so they can put in that Heart cassette they’ve been holding onto since the 80s

So, should I start looking for a wrecked 3rd gen manual trans Off-road and get the rear end and put on my sport? Would it be that easy to add a locker? I have done zero research, and adding a locker is so far down on my list of ways to spend money that I am not going to dig deep on this.

If you can hustle a diff from a wrecked OR, for cheap, you could try it. You’ll probably have to wire it independently. Otherwise air locker. And it depends. When things go right I’ve gotten one dialed in by lunch time, but I work with very large diffs all the time and have the tooling. My advice for a first time is to line up all your resources. Parts. Tools. Videos. Clean off your work bench, make a hard ass playlist, and have a backup vehicle in case everything goes south lol

With all the electronics involved, l personally think trying to swap a Factory E Locker sounds too difficult, an aftermarket Air Locker would probably be the way to go if you were ever so inclined.

Thanks, I was thinking the electronics would be the downfall. I got enough things to convince myself and then the wife to waste money on for now.

So my buddy who is lead sales guy at a local GMC dealer said a locker is standard on canyon and sierras. Man Toyota needs to up their game and not make it only an option on OR's or PROs.

So I was just told I might have to wait 6-8 weeks for the manual OR. He has an auto on lot. Also he can locate some around but they have more packages making them more $$. DECISIONS! Would going auto be a mistake? Its a good $1600 more I believe.

It's worth the wait if you are getting what you want. I too could have settled for an automatic but I knew in the long run that it isn't what I wanted. So if it wasn't what I wanted, I'm not going to buy it and possibly regret it later.

If you want a Manual it is worth waiting for imho. If you are considering the more expensive automatic, I would get it for an extended test drive preferably overnight as it may up and downshift too much for your liking.

I actually already test drove it, and I instantly wanted my manual lol. This was a '16 used one, tho.

Sounds like you have your answer already then, the $1600 You save buying the Manual could pay for some nice mods or upgrades.

Why should Toyota up their game if they're already beating GM in sales in this segment?

You need to drive both the auto and the manual to see which you prefer. What's so bad about waiting six weeks for the truck you want? Do you need it right now or just want it right now.

Patience is key especially when it comes to spending 5 figures.

Definitely just want it now. I could wait. I just hate the idea that now they could somewhat screw me on the trade in and claim they can't give me as much as they did last time.

Get the deal in writing and you can always walk away from the deal if they try to screw you and buy it at another dealer.

If I did that, I'd have to make sure what they are screwing me on is less or more than the $500 deposit i've already put down, since i'd lose that deposit most likely if they ordered one for me

You can get your deposit back, the Dealer sat on my check for 3 months without cashing it.
