I'm trying to pull off the scoop on my hood to repaint the black insert since it is cracking away and turning silver. I removed the 5 nuts under the scoop but can't seem to get the scoop to come out. Is there a trick to it that I'm missing? thanks

Nevermind I got it. Anyone know how to get the plastic insert off of the scoop? There are these plastic rivet looking things (3) with a small hole in the center of it holding it in.

You have to drill them out, can't be removed.

Yeah I gave up on it and put it back in. I don't really mind how it looks, but it's not the reason I got the Sport. I just wanted to repaint the metal black piece that is peeling away and turning silver. Never really realized before how poor the seal is on that thing and how much water I'm sure it lets into the engine bay. Not that it really hurts anything, just annoying.

    Thanks for the help.
