Sport vs OR

Come grab one from Canada, we have that option I believe.

 

the off road and sport are the same price.

...actually on the canadian market the Off road is a few 100 cheaper

 

Mine works fine.
Use it or lose it.
Not saying go ocd on it but engaging it relatively often does wonders

 

You running the locker anytime mod?

 

I got the sport for the "long" bed. They just look wierd to me with that small bed. Not to sure if the other models come with long bed

 

I will tell you this by and cry once, you will regret not having a locker for replacement blinkers and a hood scoop. If you truly go and intend to see the dirt.The 3rdgrn electric Locker is better than the second gen.

Agree with a lot of the quotes here. I was searching and searching for a OR 4x4 and just couldn't find it in the Q'sand that I wanted and I stumbled on the 4x2 with Tech. Wound up thinking for about a week on how much I would use the 4wd. Took the plunge and went for the 4x2. Plenty of folks would say "why" but I have not been the least bit disappointed. I got the look I wanted and the single thing I didn't get is the thing I would use the least. Basically, if you can got without a certain feature, you're going to be happy. Just make sure you don't let on to the dealer that you're going to be happy. Let them think you're settling. Good bargaining chip.

 

3rd Gen I would and did go o/r. mirrors match the truck now with the sport and off roads which they didn't do in the 2nd gens. You don't get the hood scoop like the sport but at least the 3rd Gens hood has some contour to it.

I loved my 08 sport taco for it had a true LSD not brake actuated b.s 2nd gens sports and o/r both got bilsteins were the 3rd gens only the o/r get bilsteins. I would go o/r even if you don't plan to use crawl control or the locker. only thing that will cost some serious coin will be locating a hood scoop.
