I don't think a tune is going to stop the OP from stalling his truck.

Once came across a Ford Fiesta, and a conversion van blocking the path, they were taking tires off rims… I can only imagine they were switching product, as one had Nevada plates while the other displayed Oregon. we turned back. I never had the pleasure of dealing with a meth head until then.

Probably old programmers are the only ones that get this, but the OR vs Sport debate reminds me of the emacs vs vi debate. In the end, it’s nothing more than personal preference.

    Personal preference or MT availability:)

I originally wanted OR of course, but no manual in DC here. I wasn’t gonna shell out 61k for a pro.

All I need is a rear locker and my sport will be better than a pro. I did do quite a bit of mods so that’s why.

2021 4X4 Sport AC 3.5L MT - OME lift with Dakar leafs. 10x33 Coopers. ARB Bumper. KDMax Tune. 2017 SE AC 2.7L 2WD AT - OME lift with Dakar leafs, BA bumper, tooter manifold spacer, header, OVTuned. LED lights. Does not run like your average 2.7; this truck pulled a broken down HMMWV out of a wash. 2008 PreRunner 4.0L - 3" spring lift with Bilstein 5100s, ARB bumper, rear sway arm. Old Reliable, been around, beat up, and still runs like a beast.
Thanks guys for all the feedback. Apologize for not answering promptly, been long days at work and not on the computer every day.

    1) No I'm not really trying to drive 4x4 in paved parking lots, but it was not so elegantly trying to describe behavior, generally, and clearly not communicating well. I agree that climbing the dirt hill was the proper scenario for 4X4, that being the point after all.

    2) @Thatbassguy, @tonered, @TexasTacoLT, others that described the front and real axles being locked together through the transfer case. Makes sense. I was thinking side to side, not front to back. Thank you.

    3) The stall on the hill. The truck was going just fine until the wheels started to slip just a little. Then breaks came on, slowed, stopped and then stalled the truck. Stopped dead by VSC/TRAC. Truck has plenty of torque, no tune required - just not enough when the breaks are coming on and it is stopping itself... It's more frustrating than being an idiot on TacomaWorld.

    4) which gets to the point. @Technique mentioned long press the traction button turns it all off. Thank you. I see that now - all that stuff now says OFF.

    5) to whoever said I was a dumb shit and should have read the manual. That big post with all the explanation on all the traction control features, with charts. tables and illustrations of the buttons and icons... I've read at least twice in the last year... I still don't have it or the manual memorized enough to reference it when I'm in the desert, concentrating on driving and not rolling the truck into a wash. Yeah, you are probably correct about the dumb shit thing.

Sport + 4L = Must Long Press to turn it all off.

The long press only works when fully stopped, which can be a PITA at times.
