I do really like the idea of the GTO but it's not what I would call pretty. That's not the only thing on my list but it certainly is a large factor.

I think the GTO falls under the muscle car genre. If you're into that then cool but it is a heavy car that simply won't handle like a true sports car.

you will jizz every time you start it up though so that might make it worth it:D

Not gonna lie those GTOs can get mean as hell! I also love the sleeper look its got to it, while still being able to take stock vettes and porsches with a couple mods.

Definitely jealous. you could probably print it out on a 3d printer.

yeah it wouldn't really work out too well being plastic and all. those printers aren't all that accurate.

not to mention they're slower than the old one (I think).

Plus RWD is so much more fun than AWD.

I would recommend the GTO. The only reason I didn't consider one is that my roommate has one exactly how I would build mine. Black 05 (LS2) wing removed, lowered on 19" DEEEEP dish wheels. Although I've been happy with my V1 CTS-V. I like the extra creature comforts and it's just as fast.

Have you looked into a 240sx? You can get one and drop an ls1 into it for under 15k and you have a badass car. Or you could always stick with the ricer approach and build the ka20 and boost it. RWD and they look nice lowered with some rims.

I posted a vid of a LS1 swapped 240 earlier in this thread. They're pretty sweet, and the LS1 is only slightly heavier than the stock engine so it still handles good.

Yeah, a buddy of mine was looking into doing it and for the price of the car and the whole conversion, it was about 10g's, then he could always beef up the ls1 if he wanted to or he could leave it stock. Either way, it would screw and he would still have a lot of money left in his budget to play with.

Why is that the ricer approach? That sounds like an equally smart way to make power and you could likely do it for much less. Granted, the LS1 has waaaaay more power potential but still, not sure why the other option is "ricer"...

I didnt mean it in a negative way. The ls1 is a more sound approach because it wouldnt be pushing the limits of the engine. The ka20 is nice but you would have to really boost it to get the same power that an ls1 would put out. Sorry if I sounded arrogant.
