2004 M5. ..... Nice one low mileage can be had for 18k .... 400hp 400tq 6spd 186mph top speed stock.... And at 18k it leaves me with 7k for coilovers, exhaust, tint and tuning. ;)

Please do. I'm not familiar with the new engine. Give me the rundown as far as the engine power potential and the tranny/clutch/drivetrain potential. I really think the new body style is great looking.

Had a built Subaru b4 and loved it 100% but there are more fun options as a second vehicle ...IMO ....also had a modded eagle talon and will never build those again.... For the money a terminator cobra is an amazing car but won't be a nice or comfy or as fun as a older m3 or m5

Really isn't any gotcha. It's a toyota engine so unless you're unlucky or a complete retard it's bullet proof. The car is stupid light and fantastic to look at. I would NOT recommend one for a daily or anything where you'll be driving a long ways. It's not a comfortable car. It's a car built with a purpose. I really need to get some seat time in one.

Not exactly what I'd call nimble but a great touring vehicle for sure. Probably the best.

Having owned 4 different M3's i would say an E36 with supercharger is the way to go. I've had the E46 as well and it is sweet but you can get a 97-98 with a supercharger for about 15K and to be honest it was just as fast and fun to drive as the E46. use the other 10 for mods... or save it for retirement :).
