Yeah, I've been waving to any and all modded tacomas that I see hoping they'll wave back. No luck yet. I guess most of them in my area are douchebags in their mall crawlers and pavement princesses...

I guess there's no such thing as "it's a tacoma thing" like there is with jeeps. Which I will say that's probably fading. Too many people have jeeps now just to say they have jeeps and don't even use it for what it's for. Oh well!

I think here in the south east it's, I have a truck I'm gonna lift it because that is what we do down here. And if you get to the root of it it's all about what is the cheapest and easiest way to fit x size tire. Because that shows how cool you are right??? The mentality is that of most high schoolers. I'm gonna have the biggest and baddest truck on the road. It's pretty much a dick measuring contest while keeping your pants on. It doesn't matter how well their chosen vehicle operates off road it's all about that mall crawling appearance.

That's why I like this site. Most guys are happy with a 2-3" lift that actually works. Don't need a huge worthless lift

at least that 6” is useful that that 12”........ you can still keep 4wd with the 6” at least.

I take offense to that haha. I spent like 9 months trying to decide what suspension I wanted to best suit my needs.

Why do you take offense? I said cheapest and easiest. Researching for nine months never equals cheapest nor easiest. Proper research usually eliminates the cheapest option.

And I totally agree. An a useful 6" is better than a 12". The only thing a huge lift is good for is deep mud holes. Which isn't smart anyway, imo.

true! but how deep of mud can a 12” lifted taco with only 2wd go thru? i’d guess no more than a stock one can. given they both have the same tires and all.

Definitely. 2wd is like an unloaded gun.

I mostly see 4 wheel parts trucks, as I call them, since I live down the street from the Charlotte shop. Idiots go in there and let those retards pick out a bunch of stupid crap to slap on their truck.

    yep.

big lifts are ok IF its and old mud truck and gets trailered places. anything bigger than about 8” on a 2500 is just to big IMO.

saw a 350 about 3 or 4 weeks ago that was siting just as high as a 18 wheeler, maybe a little higher and probably on some 40’s.

I hadn't been there in years until recently. We went several months ago and they had a open house day or whatever they cal it. The Carolina Trailblazers were there and that is the first time I've seen any vehicle up there that looked like it could handle business. Alot of Wranglers and Tacoma/toyota trucks. Then of course you had the 'pavement princess' rigs.

I didn't even know they were having it. Maybe next time we can meet up. I don't keep track of them so I never know when they are having it.

Yea I had forgotten about it til my coworker told me a bunch of cool trucks were there. It was pretty much over by the time I got there.

There needs to be a Charlotte area meet. I just don't feel like trying to set one up, as busy as I have been.
