    I think everyone is confused.

Does Nissan guy think his truck is a Toyota?

Is OP’s Toyota actually a Nissan?

    Are those real beadlocks?

    Are we even real?

ah yes, because those colors are "trademarked" toyota colors. does that mean that he lied when he signed the waiver during purchasing it?

Glad it's not just me who saw it. Though, even my wife (who has probably never heard the name Ivan Stewart), immediately recognized them as Toyota racing colors after I said "hah, check out the Nissan".

Trademarked or not, they're some of the most recognized, iconic, and brand associated colors in motorsport. Up there with the Gulf livery, Audis Group B livery, Mustangs with telephone pole imprints in the rear quarters, etc...

With an OP name like “nihil”, there may be some opinions available on if we’re real or not upon request.

I can't recall what it was and it wasn't a Toyota. It was a race vehicle and it wore the yellow, orange, red colors. I'm pretty sure what ever it was, it was from before Toyota raced a Baja truck.

Repsol does orange/red and orange/white/red, maybe you're thinking them?

I’d be more concerned about the White Nationalist version of the American flag over the back window.

Is it though? I'd agree that white nationalist (or any other race based movement) do tend to fly a lot of flags and whatnot, but I wouldn't go as far as saying every flag you see is automatically associated with one. Given the context, where dude driving a Nissan has a very Toyota license plate frame, I'd say he just wanted to dress up his truck a bit without much thought given to what people prone to knee-jerk "woke" finger pointing might inadvertently interpret.

Not saying the guy isn't grand wizard of the KKK or something, just that the US flag on his back window probably isn't the red flag pointing to that conclusion. If he were out to signal that blatantly, I'd expect to see it on a more domestically branded vehicle, accompanied by other redder flags.

I'm gonna go with it likely being some guy who just wants his Nisyota to look pretty. And don't we all?

Maybe it’s not, but the black version of the flag is generally known as the W/N version

Ooh, maybe that's why he looked confused when I gave him a thumbs-up instead of the super secret whiteclub gang sign.
