    only by people that have chosen to identify it that way.

    i just learned yesterday that the official scuba diving sanctioned sign for "i'm ok" is a "mark of the beast" apparently(3 fingers up, with your thumb and pointer finger touching), which now demonizes anyone with any interest in scuba diving.

    i'm waiting for blinking to become the mark of something bad.

    i've been personally berated for using the term 'ghetto blaster' when referring to loud obnoxious sound systems in the rougher parts of town. apparently, others only use the term 'ghetto' to refer to the jewish nazi segregation time, and it's entirely offensive to even indicate anything else is part of that.

    basically, we all need to stop talking to each other, as all language, indications, and signs all mean something negative to someone somewhere.
