If you see ski racks on top of the Tacomas in Hawaii, on roof or bed racks, theses guys are shoreline fisherman. Picture of the red truck.
Hawaii’s shoreline fisherman are hunting for the Ulua’s , bait casting and/ or slid baiting. Under 10 lbs called “Papio” over 10 lbs they are call “Ulua”. Aka Jack Crevally 12 species? Can weight over 150 lbs +.
The ski racks are use to carry the Ulua poles, long pole gaffs ,& long net gaffs.
Tips of the rods are size of your baby fingers, conventional reels, will carry 80lb mainlines. Small er conventional reels , 40, 50, & 60 lb mainlines. Rods are two piece.
