SPOTTED: Taco or 4runner? in marvels black panther movie

They just scrapped all the 4runner’s for the movie recently. Luckily they saved a few bumpers and I was able to snag one for an awesome deal!

 

How were you able to snag one??

 

They were put up for sale on Craigslist’s a few days ago.

 

LOL id be interested in seeing what that craigslist ad was, being that it sounds like Marvel likes to do all of this on the hush hush

 

Love that your bumper is in the movie, but for me the trailer that is showing looks so stupid I don’t think I could stand to watch the whole movie. Now if they made it without CG then they’d have something to watch.

Toyota/Lexus pulled out all the stops in this movie with the LS and LC featured as well..

 

I see a lot of signs with Korean on them in that scene.

If that scene is supposed to take place in Korea, I’m callling foul. They don’t sell the 5th gen 4runner there. It would have to be a Land Cruiser Prado to be authentic.

I haven’t seen the movie, so maybe that is just an international district in the US.

 

Craigslist ad is gone but the Facebook ad is still up. They came out of Fayetteville which is where all the movie studios in GA are located.

I saw the movie last night(and will probaby see it again today!) That scene takes place in Busan Korea, and yes--the whole scene looks pretty true to what things look like here. Truthfully, any vehicle other than a Kia, Hyundai, Daewoo, SSangyong will standout here. Koreans are very faithful to domestic marques. The only other Tacomas and 4Runners I've seen here belong to military members who brought them here with them.

 

There was one of the extra's from, the movie posted for sale on the Atlanta Craigslist a few months ago. The link got posted up on T4R by one of the local guys that found it. They built them off of plain, basic 2 wheel drive SR5's though.

 

I wouldn’t want to buy one after what black panther did to it.
