Considering buying a bed rack & painting it myself. Was going to have at it with a can of spray on bed liner, instead of paying extra for the powder coating option.

Has anyone here done anything similar, what’s the process to do so. Can I just spray right on?

UGH damn you autocorrect. Every ducking time.

Title should read “spray on Bed liner”

I just recently finished fabricating my bed rack and used Krylon Truck Bed Coating spray. I did prime it first tho and I would suggest you do the same before using whatever bedliner you are going to use.

I also used primer and the same bedliner to paint the frame after installing the frame plates.

Bare steel, cleaned and ready for primer.

Krylon red primer, dries fast, within 30 minutes.

And the Krylon bedliner for a top coat. Also dries fairly fast, you can touch it within an hour or 2.
