    Hey everyone,

I want to hit up the beach again over my spring break. I have a window from March 12th - March 20th to do this.

Where do we want to go?

    North Padre again?

    Matagorda again?

South Padre during spring break might be crazy but fun?

    Other places to go?

Im up for a day trip or camping out on the beach. Any ideas on where to go or when would be good for others to make it?

    Lets discuss.

SPI sounds like a great destination but it'll be a pain in the A$$ to get across the causeway (it's 2 miles long).

CONs: I have waited in my truck for 3 hrs to cross the damn thing. Also, they barricade the roads so you have to go all the way to the end before coming back big pain. Plus finding a room during Spring Break will be hard (this is for the guys with the ladies, I'm sure they'll want a nice warm bath). There will be plenty and I mean plenty of law enforcement, not to mention thousands of people.

Might want to check in with ISLA Blanca Park, they have primative camp sites and they have a bath house (warm showers). I think it's around $25 for the weekend (not sure during Spring Break).

    Now for the fun stuff:

    Pros:

Dirty Al's, Dirty Al's, Dirty Al's..........................breakfast tacos, lunch tacos, breakfast tacos!

Access 5 and beyond, you have 25 miles of prestine beach all the way to the jetties. Nothing out there but beach, you can camp and fish. There is a Nude Beach along the way (but usually filled with "OLD" pedofiles). Plenty of dunes, seldom see law enforcement but you will get a Game Warden out there when you least expect it......so if you plan on fishing plan on getting a license. I have seen first hand $500 dollar citations for Bull Reds (no license and no tag).

SPI could be fun......but plan on thousands of people, waiting in traffic, and lots of law enforcement. :D

My advice is to roll in very very late on a weekend or during the week. Everyone from inland goes out there on Friday and Saturday so it will be busy especially during Texas Week.

If its a weekend then which one will work well for everybody?

    Mar 12-14th Fri-Sun

    Mar. 19-21st Fri-Sun

I put up the dates for reference. I dont anticipate staying Fri-Sun. Thats a lot of sand time with no shower.

Let me know what works for everyone.
