So I had a shop put an OME 886 lift and the ECGS bearing on my truck.

I was looking underneath my truck when I noticed the spring perches were installed upside down.
I have contacted the shop and informed them

I am concerned my CV angles will become higher when I flip the spring perch. If I left it upside for now what are the chances I die?

Definitely take it back and have it put on correctly. It’s not designed to be installed that way.

Gotta crawl the mall before you can wheel offroad.

But actually there are low profile curbs here that stop you from making left turns in some plazas.

Ah. As long as you aren’t barreling over them and haven’t really done any serious off roading you should be fine. Just check them to see if they are warped or anything. But I’d take them to the shop and have them flip them. A lot of other ones look that way, but are meant to be installed that way. The OMEs should cup the bottom of the spring. Just look at any picture of their product for sale online. Cup is up.

Yeah I noticed their orientation and just thought maybe I didn't know better. My concern now is I am going to get 0.5 to 1 inch more of lift and my CV angles might be a bit extreme. I might have to do that CV boot mod....

I don’t think it’ll be an inch. You’ll be fine.

Not sure what cv boot mod you mean, unless it’s the ECGS bushing to replace the needle bearing. If so, I’d ask the shop to do it for free, for fucking up your suspension installation.

There are these metal clips on the CV boot. You can remove them and use hose clamp and stretch the cv boot down the shaft slightly so that the fins don't rub for high cv angle
