I keep going back and forth on what weight springs I should get for some King coilovers. I have an All-Pro steel bumper, aluminum skids, and a winch on the way. All that comes out to just over 200 pounds. The few sources I have spoken with suggest 700 pound springs, but I have heard that the ride is extremely rough.
I do not need the full 3 inches of lift. I am soon going to be trimming my fenders and would be fine with around 2 inches of lift.
So my questions is this: 650# or 700# springs. Anyone who has Kings I would love to hear your experience / opinions. Thanks!

From what ive read, the 700lb springs allow you to get the same amount of lift, or more, with less preload on the coilover. Even if you dont need the full 3 inches, id still go with the 700s due to the weight youve added. I have an access cab prerunner with the 2.7 and i went with 700# coils bc i have an ARB bumper and i would like to add a winch and sliders in the future, as well as, be able to run without the swaybar on if i want. I dont think you can go wrong either way, but if it was me id just get the 700s so you dont have to trade out coils later.. if all else fails and you dont like the ride, you should be able to adjust the coilovers down until it softens up more.

OEM 2.5 Kings come with 600 lb springs that are 14"s long unless you specify.
