I have been on the hunt for a Springfield M1A Standard for about a year now. I have found 3 new ones recently. All of them have an olive drab synthetic stock. The best price I can talk the dealers down to is $1471.25 out the door. Has anybody found a better price than that? If so, please advise where.

That's a good price for a standard M1A. Pick it up the rifle, lots of surplus 7.62x51, and some good Checkmate Industry (CMI, current USGI manufacturer for M14 magazines, try 44mag.com). Come and check out http://m14tfl.com, it's best place for everything M14 on the web.

I'm a proud LRB M14 owner, good luck and have fun.
