Dammit! Just realized I can't buy the glock even when my permit goes through due to it not meeting MA regulations :(

You aren't kidding... I got the green light from the fiance and everything! In doing research on your glock, it was very eye opening to find out what I can and can't own in this state. Basically, I need to start looking for guns made before 1998, that's when the shit hit the fan in MA!

It's MA specific, I hadn't heard of it until today. The Attorney General put a lot of 'regulations' on guns in 1998 but did so as CMR (consumer safety). Effectively, it outlawed a whole slew of firearms by default without actually having to outlaw them. It's things like trigger pressure, not being able to fire without a magazine locked in, something to tell you there's a bullet in the champer, etc. Basically, any glock made after 1998 can't be legally sold in MA unless it was to a LEO (they can then sell it to a normal consumer which is even stranger). Anything manufactured before the regulations were put in place are grandfathered in and can be bought and sold freely.

Sorry for the rant, I just got myself an edumacation on gun control today and felt the need to share with the class :)

That sounds like all the rules California has to deal with. And I get pissed cause I have to wait and pay a 200 tax stamp to buy a suppressor lol
