Upon closer inspection of the cities drought contingency plan, which is 18 pages long  the no pressure washer might actually be in the stage right above the one we are in right now. I think im going to call the city to confirm. I might be able to use it during my allotted water time.

So another problem. As josh said a couple of pages back, it almost looks like the two fence lines are different colors. Upon closer inspection in the daylight, he is correct. The fence line that I share with my neighbor appear to be a natural wood color, which the sprinklers have kept clean, while the upper portion has been weathered and darkened by the elements. The fence line that I do not share is stained brown, and the sprinkler system has faded the stain.

What the hell do I do now? Pressure wash and stain both of them and hope they turn out close to the same? I don't want anything I do to affect the sideof the shared fence that my neighbor sees, only my side.

So is black stain out of the question?

It is. It would not go with the house. Needs to be a medium-ish tint of stain.

But I don't want to do his side, too much effort. I just don't want the overspray to speckle his side of the fence.

Use a roller and it should stay on your side, if you don't overload the roller

Im talking about when applying the fence bleaching chemicals, and then pressure washing them off.

If you can powerwash, I'd start without chemicals, the 25-degree nozzle and getting close. Should actually strip off the top layer of rotted wood and mold and leave a pretty clean surface. Then stain everything and the difference will be minimal. The power washer will leave the opposide side of the fence unaffected.

    Just my thoughts.
