I'm gonna get one soon. Gave up on waiting for 2.7L OV Tune. I wish they made a panel switch adapter for the Sprint Booster controller. That would be sick.

I have one and am very pleased with it. Coming from a Tundra, I am used to prompt, linear acceleration with moderate pedal pressure. My new 2019 Tacoma felt sluggish during acceleration as if the throttle response was lagging behind the accelerator at lower rpms. Coupled with an automatic transmission that wanted to upshift prematurely, the combined feeling was one of a heavier vehicle that exhibited a normally aspirated version of "turbo lag".

I installed the Sprint Booster without difficulty. I played with the various settings and found that the Sport Mode on 7 or 8 eliminated the dead zone in the accelerator pedal travel and allowed the truck to accelerate smoothly throughout the entire range of pedal travel. Switching on the ECT feature eliminated the premature upshifts and, together, the Tacoma felt like a different vehicle. Not faster, but far more responsive throughout the power range. Throttle response is now immediate and therefore predictable throughout the entire pedal travel. The "turbo lag" feeling is gone and the power feels linear. I deactivate ECT on the freeway when I am maintaining higher speeds to maximize the fuel economy of higher gearing.

I don't doubt that the OV Tune is a more comprehensive package but find the Sprint Booster a simple, effective solution to resolve the driveability issues that bothered me the most.

So I’ve had it installed now since Friday. I love it. Around town you have to be extremely cautious, but unlimited fun on the highway. Worth $300? If you got it to spare then hell yes.
