I've owned this truck for about 3yrs already, and have been doing little things here and there to make it my own, and to make it better. I had a Leer 100XR installed today, and decided I should probably start documenting everything. SO... more for me than for you, but I'm going to try to start compiling the list of mods completed, as well as planned future mods, with reviews of each.

    MODS
    -CustomCarGrille (3/17)
    -Debadge (3/17)
    -Tundra OEM Bed lights (5/17)

    -LED dome lights (6/17)
    -Sealed bed storage compartments (6/17)
    -Clazzio Seat Covers (10/18)
-Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake controller (3/19)
    -TRD Pro tail lights (10/19)
    -Aluminum Oil Filter Cap (1/20)
-Pop and Lock tailgate actuator (2/20)
    -Hose Clamp Tailgate Theft Prevention
    -Leer 100XR Cap/shell/topper (3/20)

Unfortunately, I've done a sh!t job documenting. I'm in the process of digging up old pictures, and trying to put dates on mods. This thread will develop slowly.

edit - added the first pick I could find...bone stock, trail riding in the Iron Range

Scosche mount I've had installed for a couple of years. Love it, fits great just above the 4wd selector dial. Phone does block the vent some, but there really wasn't any place better that was lean looking.

Couple pics I snapped while installing Yakima tracks on the shell. Laser level was super handy for getting straight lines on the shell contour.

Air Bags! Actually installed a couple weeks ago, but I fixed a leaky fitting today. I added Daystar cradles too, in case I find my self off road. I haven't had a chance in awhile, but I figured it's easier to install them now while I'm under there. I put some foam tape on top of the cradles, since I've read about them slapping. Haven't noticed it yet.
Offending fitting just under the license plate:
I recut the tube, and it seems to be holding air better.

When I installed my bed lights, I wired them to the switch in the dash for cargo lights. I love it. I know some people put a switch in the bed too, which might be nice, but this is totally OEM. When I had the topper installed, they tapped into the same harness, so my cap LED is on the same switch. I didn't even think to ask them to wire it that way. That's just good service!

Here's how I mounted by brake controller. Looks good from afar, but far from good. It was a 'guess-and-check' dremel job, so the plastic isn't perfect. It's pretty stout though, and out of the way. I hadn't used that cubby yet in 30k miles, so I figured i could modify it to fit.

A brief air bag review after a few weeks of testing:

Ride with an empty bed (even with the cap), is bouncy, and I've got them aired down to 5psi.
Ride with a full load of tools (probably <500lbs) is still a little bouncy, though better.
Ride pulling our 3000lb camper, and a bed full of luggage and gear was awesome at 15psi, and pretty level.

I'm thinking about Fox 2.0s with minimal lift sooner than later. Also, if you're too cheap to spring for onboard air (like me), a small bike pump works awesome to pump them up, since they take very little volume. I just keep one in the truck. You'll also want an atv pressure gauge (1-20psi).

Got 5100s, OME 887s, and OME HD leafs in June of 2020. WOW. Smooth, much faster damping, handles the weight of the shell and tools much better. I should've made the jump far sooner. Roughly $1250 from Rogue Off-Road. I did start to get some driveline vibration, especially if the bed was empty and fuel low. I shimmed the carrier bearing down 1/2" or so because I had some extra steel laying around. It could probably use another 1/4".

The very next day, I adjusted my 7' garage door to get a little more clearance. It barely fit with the bars and lift. Since then, it's settled some, and it usually has more weight back there.
