Sprung a leak

Noticed something leaking just by the front passenger wheel, on the inside of the wheel.

Got under and it felt like water, but not sure where it was coming from. The drip was dripping onto the frame, then onto the floor.

Is this the ac leak that has been discussed with the tube extension?

Sounds like AC. I'm getting a lot of that so far this summer. Big puddles right behind my wheel

It's the condensation drain from your AC, totally normal. Some people crawl under and add a length of tube to drip without soaking the frame.

 

Not a leak guys... that is the AC drain. It's supposed to do that. If it didn't, you would have no air conditioning, since the fundamental premise of AC is removing moisture from the air!

Sometimes, a five second google search is all you need instead of a clickbait thread title.

 

That is an A/C doing its job.

 

My 2006 2nd gen did this ever since I bought it. Even if I dont use the AC. It drips a puddle of water behind the passenger side front wheel (after driving), when parked for a short time, then goes away.

 

Moisture condensation from the air conditioning system is just a byproduct of the process, and has nothing to do with function. Cooling is achieved by the transformation of the refrigerant in the system from a high pressure liquid to a low pressure gas.

 

Search for ac mod, one of the easiest I did and keeps that condensation off the frame
