Typically have worse output than stock, cutoff is terrible, tend to leak and create moisture inside.

Sorry that's all the points I could think of seen here on this forum regarding those lights.

Probably best to do a retrofit yourself or pay someone to do a projector retrofit

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
I have them. You have to cut your grill to install. Pretty easy but a bit flimsy. The interiour reflectors suck and the light isn't well focuses. If you get the tinted ones you might as well turn your lights off at night; you won't notice (I'm using the brightest bulbs available).

The led lights at the bottom are the cheapest leds you can get and give off almost no light. I didn't even bother hooking them up. I plan to do a retrofit mod one of these days so I can see at night.

Well I do too. I don't think they're that terrible. Yeah they leak just like any other spyder or cheap lights. And the internal parts aren't as sturdy or well built. The leds are actually quite bright. they're 5mm's. Some like, some don't. I do. You have to weigh the pros and cons out. They take a bit of tlc to make sure they don't leak. If doing a retro, gotta be careful not to bake them too long. the internals will become weak like mine did and popped a reflector loose. Also sealed with butyl and no leaks whatsoever. If not a retro, silicone seals them up on the outside. This is a must do if you get em.

I'm on my 3rd set now, lol. The first were just replacement kept halogen. Which it rained shortly after install, and got like an inch of water in one headlight. bulb blew. I split it and sealed. then the adjustment screw broke a tab. 2nd set was a retro, which I currently have installed. But the reflector is a little crooked as it popped off one of the adjustment knobs inside. Probably from me baking it one too many times for halo replacements. But it still works, just alignment is off. The chrome trim near the corner light is peeling off now after a couple years.. And the lenses are starting to yellow.

So.. I have a 3rd fresh set ready to be worked on with all new projectors and everything. I'm gonna be sealing the lens as well as clear coating or sealing the trim. Also will be careful when baking them. I'm hoping that this set turns out perfectly with no issues and will last more than a couple years! Ha. I guess you could say I have more patience and determination than most. But I really want these to work out. If these fail somehow on me again, I'll probably just get oem type replacements. Fingers crossed. 3rd times a charm right!?:D

And I didn't have to cut my grille to install mine... It says to, and makes it easier. But not required. It's just a pain and barely fits. I really didn't wanna cut my grille because I thought it would end up being just that, flimsy. I just got an aftermarket grille too, and still did not cut it. The tabs on the end are a little thicker than oem, but it still fit. One side of the trim kinda pops out a hair on the headlight from the corner lens where it meets the fender, so I'm still trying to figure out what's causing that. But the driver side fits nice and snug...

They are absolutely terrible! They were on my truck when i bought it and were worthless for light output. Stock lights with descent bulbs are brighter. Finally got around to going back to stock and did a hid retrofit. Don't waste any money on headlights other than a hid retrofit. The difference is absolutely amazing.

The first time I got these I got them from eBay water leaked in and ruined them the company I got them from were nice enough to send replacement, but 2 months later water leaked in again That was a year ago. I ordered them again in October 2014 but this time I got them from CarID and paid a lot more then before almost $300. So far they have not leaked and the light quality is not bad. The rubber garments feel a lot tighter then the ones from eBay and the corners of the of the headlights are better sealed then the ebay ones. CarID has lowered there price in the last 2 months from almost $300 to $175.

Hmm. Yeah I wondered if the US retailers sold better quality ones and if the eBay are just cheaper knock offs. Or if it's just hit or miss with these headlights. Mine were packaged in with the spyder branding though. So Idk. But yeah I did not buy them from online retailers because of the $300 price tag. Maybe I'll take the plunge one more time with these if my new set ever fails on me. I also see that they have a 90 warranty. Versus the eBay ones which don't, just a range of 14/30/60 day return.

But if you really don't wanna hassle with them, don't get em. I just like the look especially with a retro..

Here a few before/after pics. The 'evolution' of my headlights through the years using the spyders, heh.

What did you use to mount the LED Lights on the hood? I've been trying to do the same but with some Dually - Floods. Nice mod to the Spyder headlights they look sick.

A universal antenna fender lip mount on eBay. You have to get different bolts with a countersunk head, and short ones at that, and the bolt installs upwards versus downwards.

Or u can get cbi ditch like brackets. Which I just I installed too but for bigger led cannons. Pain to install though. The antenna mount was super easy. And is super sturdy for small lights like those. And cheap. I can find the link if u want.

Oh speaking if function. Also keep in mind these do not have left and right adjustment. Just up and down. They worked ok. But if you're looking for good quality, don't get these. They are a pain. But will work, just with some tlc and mods.

Can you upload some directions on how you got these to bolt on with it being a one piece?

You install the brackets onto the truck first. Then the headlights go into place and the studs insert into those brackets.
