I appreciate the advice and also just have to say I love what you are doing for us by comparing all the different lights. It’s really cool to see a side by side comparison. My reasoning for the Baja designs in that spot is because I’ve seen it done somewhere once and they fit cleanly in that spot. My other reasoning is after watching @memario1214 comparison video, while yes the diode dynamics have a higher intensity and more focused beam I like how the Baja designs still have a broader beam. For where I live I’d much rather have a far but wide beam than a really narrow intense beam. Like I said though, I’m in college right now so I can no longer afford to dump a lot of money into these little projects even though I really want to.

Valid point on the size, the Baja lights are more compact. Keep in mind the SS3 Driving lights are an actual high beam pattern as defined by SAE for literally the exact purpose you are looking for. Baja will certainly give you more scatter in a wider range field though.

Has anyone figured out the best bulb to use for these headlights? After three pairs of bulbs, I've been unsatisfied with what I have. I'm looking for something that has really high intensity of light output and is white in color. I know I'm not going to gain any distance as the projectors are cheap on these but I want the area they do light up to be more intense than what I have currently. The direct drop-in led bulbs on Amazon have terrible reviews and I don't want something that I have to modify the boot seal much. Does anybody know of anything that will work better? Also, does anybody know how to get the retaining clip off the high beam bulb while the lights are still on the truck? I cannot seem to figure it out.

Which bulb type is the low beam in those again?

sorry to clarify there are the 4 lights total but they are all the H1, I've looked and looked and can't seem to find anything from anyone who has said what's been the best.

It is a poor design to use H1 as a high beam, the bulb is not very high in output for a high beam, paired with the super small high beam reflector, performance will be poor.

The best H1 stock wattage high performance halogen bulb on the market is the Osram Nightbreaker Laser +150:

However, high performance halogens work on the principle of quality focused housings, which are not Spyder, so results will likely be underwhelming. But that is where I’d start. Having helped many people with these headlights, almost all go to HID to get usable output out of them, which isn’t a great option either. You could also consider higher wattage halogens, but heat might damage the aftermarket housing and you will likely need to upgrade the wiring, and good high power bulbs will be stock halogen color.

Thank you, I'll look into those.
